No ball causes double pain for Shane Watson

Australian captain Shane Watson roared with delight when he crashed through West Indian all-rounder Andre Russell’s defences to bowl him while the hosts were chasing the visitors total of 220, but his joy was short lived, as a replay showed that Watson had delivered a no-ball.

Compounding Watson’s frustrations, he then proceeded to bowl Russell off the next delivery, a free-hit because of his transgression the ball before, meaning again the West Indian couldn’t be given out.

Watson could only chuckle about the moment post-match before admitting it was a preventable situation, The Age reports.

“It was very disappointing especially at that crucial time as well,” Watson was quoted, as saying.
